Henry Carr

Henry is an Ex Officio member of the Advisory Board and the President of Student Energy Durham. He leads an executive team of 5 students, organising talks and debates at Durham University. The society tries to promote a non-biased view of the energy industry and wants to promote the industry to students across a range of subjects, creating an environment to develop students’ understanding of the sector. The society keeps in regular contact with Student Energy, the non-profit organisation that organises the International Student Energy Summit's, as it is their only UK based Chapter.

Henry is in his 2nd year studying Physics and Philosophy, directing his module choices to learn the role of technical achievements in shaping the way we think. He finds the technical side of the renewable sector interesting, particularly recent developments in offshore wind turbine technology. He hopes to pursue a career in the financial side of the energy industry and contribute to the energy transition.
