Evelyn Tehrani

Communication and Impact Officer in the DEI

Evelyn is Durham Energy Institute’s Communication and Impact Officer. Evelyn is an experienced researcher and communicator with a background in Anthropology and International Development. She has planned, managed and carried out numerous policy-focused projects.

She previously has worked as Research Associate at IPPR North, Research Manager at Crisis (the UK homelessness charity) and Research Associate at Geoffrey Payne and Associates (an international development consultancy).

Her research spans a wide range of topics including community engagement and participatory methods, urban development, gender equality, deprivation, housing, homelessness and regeneration.

Evelyn leads on helping the Institute reach internal and external stakeholders and manages the DEI website, DEI magazine, Key Partnerships and the Policy Expert Group as well as producing publicity materials, policy briefs, and facilitating new links with Policy makers and engagement events.
