Non-perturbative Field Theory

Non-perturbative aspects of field theory is an important theme in our work. The study of classical soliton solutions is an important area of activity, in which the group has a long-standing presence. We are also active in the study of non-perturbative aspects of string and M-theory, and the study of field theories with boundaries. A recent area of development is resurgence, an approach to reconstructing non-perturbative information from the asymptotics of the perturbation expansion. Current work is described under different areas below.

  1. Resurgence and differential equations
  2. Solitons
  3. The Standard Model from tensionless string theory
  4. Moduli spaces
  5. Field theories with boundaries
