New research centre for the Department of Classics and Ancient History
(1 September 2017)
Coming in Michaelmas 2017: DCAMP - the Durham Centre for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy.
We are excited to announce that the department has a new research centre, the Durham Centre for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy which we shall be launching in Michaelmas 2017.
DCAMP will bring together specialists from across Departments and Faculties to foster innovative collaboration in research and teaching in ancient and medieval philosophy. The co-directors of the Centre are Prof. George Boys-Stones from Classics and Ancient History and Dr Sara L. Uckelman from Philosophy.
On Wednesday 11th October 2017, we shall be holding the inaugural event for the centre. There will be a talk by Prof. John Magee (Toronto) followed by a drinks reception. More information is available here.
The Centre will be holding further events throughout the year and also hosting a range of reading groups. More information about these can be found on the DCAMP website.
We look forward to welcoming you to DCAMP very soon!
