P. J. Rhodes elected president of the Classical Association
(24 April 2014)
Professor P. J. Rhodes, emeritus in the Department of Classics and Ancient History, has been elected to the presidency of the Classical Association for 2014/15.
The Classical Association, founded in 1903, is the largest British organization focused on the Classics, and also has a significant international presence. Prof. Rhodes will lead a community of academics, students, teachers, and enthusiasts from all walks of life. His election is a particular honour for the Department coming so soon after the presidency of another Durham great, Professor Christopher Rowe, in 2010/11.
