Persian Language Courses

Persian is one of the predominant languages of central Asia. An official language of Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan it is also commonly known as Farsi (the Iranian word for Persian) or Dari (the Afghan equivalent). There are several variants or dialects, but all based on the common language deriving from Classical Persian. In the vast majority of cases it is written in the Arabic script, although Tajiki Persian is commonly found in the cyrillic script, reflecting the histoical links to the former Soviet Union.

There are approximately 60 million native Persian speakers, and is the language of a long classical literary tradition, as well as a thriving modern cinema.
