Career Planning for PGTs
Students who are undertaking a taught Master's programme at Durham University can access our extensive range of resources relating to all aspects of career planning, skills development, work experience and applications, relevant throughout each stage of academic studies, at: www.durham.ac.uk/careers/students
The Careers & Enterprise Centre organises and hosts a wide range of career events each year, including major career fairs, forums, employer recruitment presentations and skills sessions to support you in your career planning and progression. Our events commence in early Michaelmas term and are available to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Academic Skills Programme offers drop-ins and one-to-one support and a range of workshops, many of which are available to and provide enhanced support for postgraduate students to hone their academic skills.
English Language support is available to PGT students through the DCAD team . This support includes 1-1 consultations and a workshop programme.
The Durham University Business School has a team of dedicated careers staff, supporting postgraduate students in their career development. Find out more about the Business School's Global Career and Talent Programme.
The Careers & Enterprise Centre will run a PGT Career Development Programme in 2020-21. This will involve a series of presentations and workshops exclusively for postgraduate taught students; available to students of any subject discipline. Due to the covid-19 restrictions in place for Michaelmas term, these sessions will be delivered on Zoom. A list of the sessions is included below:
