All Durham University students are able to take a placement as part of their academic course, however not all courses formally offer a placement year.
The timing for recruiting students can vary from company to company, generally the closing dates for year-long placements are between October and November of the year prior to the placement start date. However we still have students who search for opportunities throughout the year, including and up to the placement start date so please do contact us if you have any vacancies.
If you would like to advertise a Placement Year please do so through our Vacancy Advertising System where these posts can be displayed, free of charge. You can also offer 'Exclusive Opportunities' exclusive to Durham students, free of charge. This is a bespoke service which offers enhanced marketing of the vacancy, collation of applications and arranging space in Durham to hold interviews. If you require assistance with recruitment, support is available via our Employer Engagement Officer. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0191 334 1433 and we would be happy to help.
