Edge of Empire aims to bring together post graduate, early career and independent researchers who are undertaking work on Roman activity in the north of England and Scotland.

Papers will be allocated a 20 minute slot, with time for discussion built into the day.

The conference will be opened by Professor Richard Hingley (Durham University) with a keynote speech given by Dr Rebecca Jones (Historic Environment Scotland) and summation by Professor David Breeze (Durham University).

Abstracts for proposed papers should be sent to Andrew Tibbs (andrew.tibbs@durham.ac.uk) by Monday 4 July 2016.
