Zurbaran Scholarship Awards 2021
We are pleased to announce that we have awarded two Zurbarán Scholarships for the study of Spanish art, commencing in October 2021: Stephanie Bernard (MA University of Geneva) will explore relations between sophistry in Spanish literature and trompe l’oeil in Spanish painting in the early modern period. Richard Jacques (MA The Courtauld Institute) will focus on Francisco de Zurbarán’s devotional painting. Starting in the autumn term, they will develop their projects under the supervision of Professor Andrew Beresford and Professor Claudia Hopkins.
The two awards have been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica. We are very grateful for their support. For further information on postgraduate studies, please click here
