Please note change of room since originally advertised

The Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing, and its Early Career Researchers committee invite you to join us for our first event of the 2017/18 academic year. This event serves three purposes:

  • The first is to be a welcome and networking event for ECRs in the Wolfson to get to know each other better.
  • A second focus is to discuss the opportunities available for us to engage in research. We are delighted to welcome Associate Provost, Professor Emma Flynn who will talk about her research journey, and Dr. Emma Bowen from Research and Innovation Services who will talk about how she got into research management.
  • Finally, we’d like to celebrate the end of a fantastic calendar year for ECRs in the WRIHW.

Who: This event is open to all Early Career Researchers at Durham University. Attendance is free of charge.

What: A festive networking event, intertwined with a discussion regarding research opportunities. A light buffet and wine will be provided.

When: Wednesday, December 13th, 2017. Welcome drinks and reception begin at 17:00. We ask that you arrive before 17:30 when the guest speakers are scheduled to begin.
