This day long event is the third of an annual series on Sustainability and Communities. It is being organised jointly by the North East Region of the RSA (The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce), and the Wolfson Research Institute and John Snow College, Durham University at the University’s Queen's Campus in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees.

Social Work Public Lecture by Professor Sven Hessle
Children are our future. How can we promote their well-being? How can we ensure that they develop as full citizens who lead rewarding and fulfilling lives. Professor Hessle will address these questions by drawing on a wealth of international experience. His insights may help us to better support British children especially those living in the North East
