Stress, health and wellbeing Special Interest Group (SIG) Colloquium
The WRIHW Stress SIG is delighted to hold a Colloquium event aimed at facilitating lively discussions and meaningful collaborations across Durham University on the topic of stress, health and wellbeing.
WRIHW Fellows and Associates are invited to present their ideas/proposals/current research/past research on stress, health and wellbeing.
The event is open to anyone interested in presenting about or learning more about stress, health and wellbeing.
Presentations will last between 5 - 10 minutes with 5 - 10 minutes for questions and discussions after each presentation. The presentations will be followed by a facilitated group discussion and sharing of ideas for next steps. The Stress SIG research themes are:
1) Experiences of Stress and Inequalities
2) Biopsychosocial understandings of stress (including health behaviours)
3) Mental Health, Public Health and Wellbeing
4) Precarious employment, neoliberal labour market and welfare ‘reforms’ and stress.
5) Socio-ecological effects on stress, health and wellbeing.
The format will be very informal and collegial, with the focus very much on exploring shared ideas for future collaboration. Please feel free to share details of this event with colleagues who may also be interested.
