WASP - Simple Linear Regression

23rd February 2016, 09:30 to 24th February 2016, 16:00, D025, Ebsworth Building, Queen's Campus, Stockton-on-Tees

This course introduces the basic concepts of simple linear regression models. The course will discuss how linear regression models are used to assess strengths of relationship between variables or predict values of a continuous outcome in the presence of associated independent variables. Application of linear regression models in different research areas such as health and social sciences will also be discussed. Participants will have practical sessions on real life application of the method in SPSS.

Prerequisite: This course requires participants to have basic knowledge of statistics including understanding data types, outcomes types and summary statistics.
