Considering applying for NIHR Funding? Would you like some advice and guidance from academics who have successfully obtained NIHR funding?

The Wolfson Research Institute will be running a series of Grant Writing workshops in order to share good practice, provide real life experiences and examples of what it takes to obtain funding in an increasingly competitive environment. The WRI would like to invite you to attend a Grant Writing Workshop focused on the NIHR funding streams, facilitated by Wolfson Fellows and members of the Research Design Service North East Professor James Mason and Dr Helen Hancock. This workshop aims to assist anyone considering applying for an NIHR grant by covering the following areas;

  • What the funder wants - getting the proposal right
  • How the RDS can help
  • Working with a Trials Unit
  • Ethics and Governance
  • Case study, group work and debrief
