American Idiot!

17th June 2017, 19:30 to 19th June 2017, 21:30, Trevelyan College, Durham

Durham Festival fo the Arts
Featuring the music of Green Day’s albums ‘American Idiot’ and ’21st Century Breakdown’, including the songs ‘Holiday’, ’21 Guns’ and ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, this rock-opera promises to be an electrifying show and an end-of-year experience not to miss out on!

Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend to familial responsibilities, and Johnny’s attention becomes divided by a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship. Their three parallel stories together create a show with powerful social messages as they struggle to find the balance between rage and love.
