Undergraduate

Our locations

When you join us, you will be living in either Durham City or at Queen's Campus, Stockton depending on where your course is based. Wherever you are, you will enjoy a fantastic student lifestyle, in lively surroundings and with a superb choice of events and entertainment.

The University is planning to repurpose Queen's Campus, in part as an International Study Centre. This will mean academic programmes and colleges relocating to Durham City and the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health transferring to Newcastle University. To find our more, please click here.

In this section of the website you can find out more about student life across both of our locations. Durham City and Queen's Campus, Stockton offer a choice of environments, each distinctive and outstanding in their own way. If your course is based in Durham City, you will be a member of a Durham-based college. If your course is based at Queen's Campus in 2017/18, you will be a member of a Queen's-based college. From 2018/19 all colleges will be based in Durham City.

If you feel like branching out, you will find plenty to interest you in and around both Durham City and Stockton, and the wider North East Region.

Getting around

Whilst your academic studies will take place at the campus where your course is based, a free intercampus bus makes it easy to travel between Durham City and Queen's Campus. So wherever you're based, you can experience the attractions of both places. Then within each site, you can reach your lectures, libraries, and most of the entertainment venues, on foot.

What's On?

The University is a hub of events and activities for staff, students and the local community. Our 'What's On' Guide provides a great way to organise your social diary as well as helping you get involved in free or subsidised activities.
