Research postgraduate visiting student fees

Research postgraduate visiting students are defined as students who attend the University and receive advice and support through supervision and use of research facilities. Such students may also join existing taught modules where this would support their research. These students will receive no credit or qualification from the University for either the research they undertake or any taught modules they join. Fees charged to these students are as follows:-

Fees for 2014/15 will be £400.
Fees for 2013/14 will be £390.
Fees for 2012/13 will be £380.

PGR students registered with the North East Doctoral Training Centre are hosted by either Newcastle or Durham Universities but have access to facilities at both. As part of a reciprocal agreement with Newcastle University, a fee-free visiting rate has been established for these students whereby students being hosted at Newcastle will not pay visiting student fees to access Durham's resources and students hosted at Durham will not pay visiting fees at Newcastle.

NB: Information contained on the website or in the literature with respect to the fee is correct at the time of publication but the University reserves the right to change the course information or fee at a later date.
