Ancient Judaism Research Seminar
The Ancient Judaism Research Seminar (AJRS) at the Department of Theology and Religion offers an opportunity especially for postgraduate students to present short papers and publications-in-progress on any topic related to Judaism in the ancient world.
The seminar is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students and all staff in the Department, especially our New Testament and Hebrew Bible/Old Testament colleagues.
The seminar will be run for 1 hour and consist of:
(1) a 20-25 minute paper,
(2) a 15 minute discussion, and
(3) a 20 minute primer on an ancient Jewish primary source (not neglecting the original languages).
No preparation for the seminars is required and all are welcome.
We warmly invite any postgraduate students to submit:
(a) a title and abstract for a short paper or
(b) an outline for a discussion about an ancient Jewish text.
