Supported Progression

Which subjects are available?

Below is a list of the academic departments that are participating in Supported Progression. If you are successful on the scheme you will be able to progress to one of the department's degree programmes. Please click on the links below to find out more information about them and which degree programmes are available, but please note this information relates to the content of the degree programmes and not necessarily the content of their Supported Progression sessions; information about the taster sessions and the summer school project will follow in due course.

The guaranteed offer:

Please note that to qualify for the guaranteed offer you must successfully pass the summer school assessed project to the standard required by the participating department. You will also be recognised as having achieved a qualification equivalent to 16-32 (formerly 40-80) UCAS tariff points that can contribute towards meeting the entry requirements for your chosen programme of study. Applicants should not confuse the guaranteed offer with an unconditional offer. The guaranteed offer you will receive if your SP assessment is satisfactory will be conditional on you achieving certain results as outlined in that offer - it is not therefore a guaranteed place at the University or an unconditional offer of a place.

To find out what typical offer you may receive if you are successful, please click on the department below. The offer is based on 3 A-level passes but equivalent qualifications are also accepted. You will also need to meet the University's general entry requirements.

In addition, some of these departments will require you to have certain pre-requisites before you can be made an offer; for example you may need to be studying certain subjects. Please click on your chosen department below to find out what these are. Please note that some of our departments do not accept General Studies or Critical Thinking.
