Application to SP
Do I have to provide a school contact (e.g. teacher) as part of my application?
Yes you do. This is an important part of the process. We need your school to confirm that you go there and to confirm your suitability for the programme against the criteria.
Please don't worry if you haven't been at your current sixth form or college for that long. The verification process is more of a tick box exercise for teachers and they aren't expected to supply a reference. It doesn't matter therefore whether they have known you for a few weeks or a few years, they should be able to do what they need to in support of your application.
If you are concerned about this or it isn't possible, please get in touch.
I've already submitted my application but I made a mistake and/or need to change my information. What should I do?
Don't worry! It's easy for us to amend your details, for example if you have moved home, changed your name, or if you realise you forgot to list a GCSE etc. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our team will be happy to update our records.
If you have changed your mind about the subject you want to apply for then we can change this so long as you let us know on or before the application deadline.
When will I find out if I have been accepted on to Supported Progression?
We hope to inform all applicants of their outcome by email on or before 17 February 2021. If there is any delay we will email you to let you know. If you haven't heard from us after 17 February then please feel free to get in touch, something may have gone wrong.
