Discover Durham Tours
Discover Durham tours offer a brief introduction to the University and run following our final September Open Day during October and November.
The tour begins at one of our undergraduate colleges, where you will receive an introductory talk from a member of college staff, followed by a tour of the college by current students. Following this, Durham Student Ambassadors (DSA) will show you round the main University site, including where the major academic and college facilities are located.
Tours begin at 1.30pm and last approximately two hours.
Please consult our Frequently Asked Questions link for useful information before you make a booking.
You are required to book in advance for Discover Durham tours. Once you have booked your place, you will receive a confirmation email. The starting point for the tour will be confirmed via email approximately 1 week ahead of the event.
Please note that Discover Durham tours will not incorporate tours inside of individual departments. Many visitors choose to visit departments in the morning of their tour – should you wish to do this we advise you to contact the department in advance to ensure there is someone available to accommodate this. You can find contact details for all our departments here.
