Biography
Profile
Ancient Historian specialising in the Roman economy, ancient financial history and economic mentalities, ancient trade, Roman law and epigraphy. I am UK PI of the AHRC-DFG collaborative project "Twisted Transfers: Discursive Constructions of Corruption in ancient Greece and Rome (2020-23)". My publications cover topics such as trade, sales and markets, wealth, mentality and economic decision-making in ancient Rome. I also work on the reception of Antiquity in modern visual media.
