Faith & religion
Durham University is a multi-cultural, multi-faith community that is committed to providing opportunities for its students to explore and follow their religious beliefs.
The University provides a number of faith facilities for its main religious communities of Christian, Jewish and Muslim students. We are happy to discuss individual needs if you have any special requirements linked to your faith. We provide support and advice through our Chaplains and Colleges to help students access faith facilities across the University and in the local area.
Many religions are also supported by socities of the Students’ Union, all of which welcome new members. If there is not a specific society for your particular faith then you will find all the help you need to start your own with the Students’ Union:
