Difficult Dialogues

Durham University has a long-established commitment to research and research-led teaching. The Difficult Dialogues are just one of the ways in which St Cuthbert's Society is able to contribute to the scholarly community of which Durham University is so proud.

These informal lectures give staff and students alike the opportunity to share opinions or persepctives on controversial current affairs. Experts on the topics are asked to give short introductions to the discussions, which are then followed by questions and comments from attendees. The Dialogues bring together minds from all disciplines and walks of life, making the events scintillating, stimulating and highly memorable!
