St Aidan's has a multi-faith room which is booked for the regular prayer slots throughout the year for the Muslim students society, for nearby staff and students to use, and is otherwise open access for any form of quiet reflection, except when booked by another group.
We host the University's only kosher kitchen, which supports the Jewish Sabbath meals and other festivals. Jewish Sabbath meals, organised by the Durham Jewish Students and Staff Society and sponsored by Hillel. The kosher kitchen means that all catering will conform to Jewish dietary law concerning food and its preparation. The facilities allow the Jewish Society to have a dedicated space to use for Friday night dinners as well as other events including speakers, film nights and festival celebrations.
We have a Beliefs, Values, Cultures forum which explores issues of faith/humanism , cultural expression and ethics, with several events each term.
