New phytoceutical combination for physical and mental health maintenance and recovery in contact sport

A combination of different plant products, chosen by WRIHW Fellow Professor Paul Chazot and Honorary Professor Karen Hind, based on the available scientific evidence relevant to both physical and mental health maintenance, was explored in a classic fruit fly model of ageing and concussion.
The patented phytoceutical product, termed “CONKA1,” a combination of five plant powders, including Withania somnifera, Curcuma longa, Melissa officinalis, Rhodiola rosea, and Vaccinium myrtillus, was shown to improve the health status in normal aged and repetitively concussed fruit flies.
This study provided new evidence supporting the use of CONKA1 in maintaining physical and mental health status in contact sportspersons. More to follow in our human studies to support this.
