If you are in crisis, you can find support via Lifeline International’s directory of helplines. 1. Click on Lifeline International below. 2. On the webpage that opens, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Find a helpline". 3. Select your country and the relevant category (e.g., suicide).
Support for moral injury
Organisations which support veterans in the UK and which are particularly experienced with moral injury include:
- Combat Stress
- Forward Assist
- SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity
- Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland
- Veterans’ Gateway
- Veterans in Crisis Sunderland
Please note that:
- Many of these organisations provide support to veterans whether or not the moral injury is service-related.
- These organisations have various sets of criteria as to who they can support, with some additionally supporting serving personnel before they leave and families of veterans.
