ICE manual

The second edition of the Institution of Civil Engineers’ Manual of Geotechnical Engineering, co-edited by Professor David Toll, co-director at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) at Durham University, has been published.

The Institution of Civil Engineers’ Manual of Geotechnical Engineering (MoGE) has been updated in this newly published second edition. The ICE Manual of Geotechnical Engineering is the definitive geotechnical reference work, providing best practice knowledge for civil and structural engineers. Written and edited by leaders in their fields, it delivers the core geotechnical engineering principles, practical techniques, and the major questions engineers should keep in mind when dealing with real-world engineering challenges.

IHRR Co-Director Prof. David Toll was a co-editor of the two-volume set and also contributed to the chapter on Tropical Soils.
