Mr Robert Swalwell
My current research focus explores the differences in attention for social and non-social stimuli as well as the differences between object-based and location-based attention. I have explored these differences using a dynamic spatial cueing design to examine the differences in inhibition (and facilitation) of return for different objects.
While attention is the focus of my current research, I have a wide range of interests which include aspects of social, evolutionary and developmental psychology. Research projects I have conducted or planned include the relationship between aggression and performance in association football, the effect of maternal depression on mind-mindedness and the effect of environmental influences on kin detection.
