Learning, Memory & Cognition

The reserach group brings together a number of researchers interested in an understanding of the cognitive and biological mechanisms behind learning, memory, language and decision making. The group uses a range of cognitive and behavioural neuroscience approaches in both human and non-human animals to understand these mechanisms, including fMRI, comptational modelling, single cell electrophysiology, transgenic models of disease and behavioural studies folowing lesions. The research group hosts a Hippocampal Interest Group which gives twice termly seminars and links with researchers across Durham and Newcastle universities.
