Mr Peter Foggitt
Peter studied at Chetham's School of Music, King's College Cambridge, Trinity College of Music, and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He is a pianist, conductor, and organist; competition successes include the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, the Emmy Destinn Awards, the Rosenblatt Recital Awards, and the Croydon Concerto Competition (piano), the Royal Over Seas League Awards (singing/directing), and the St Albans International Organ Competition (Improvisation, 2017).
Peter is Director of Music in Chapel at St John's College, and divides his time between Durham and London, where he is Director of Orlando Chamber Choir and Director of Music at Hampstead Parish Church.
His compositions have been commissioned and performed by, amongst others, Angela Hewitt, Dame Shirley Bassey, the Choir of St Paul's Cathedral, the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, the BBC (TV and Radio), and several choral societies.
He is supervised by Richard Rijnvos and Eric Egan, and teaches undergraduate conducting.
