Mr Thomas Coxhead
Tom began his musical career as a Chorister in Chester Cathedral Choir and he studied the organ with Roger Fisher. He studied for his undergraduate degree at Durham, during which he time he was Director of Music at Hatfield College and held organ scholarships at Castle and St. George’s Church, Cullercoats. Alongside his research, Tom is also currently Organ Scholar at Ripon Cathedral. His MA is a critical analysis of Kenneth Leighton’s church music, particularly in regard to Leighton’s distinctive harmonic and rhythmic style.
