Dr Patrick Zuk co-edits new volume appraising research on Russian music since 1917
(13 September 2017)
Russian Music since 1917 is part of OUP’s Proceedings of the British Academy Series, and features a ground-breaking collection of essays examining the current state of research on Russian art music since the 1917 Revolution.
It provides a comprehensive critical overview of recent research emerging both from Russia itself and from elsewhere, and vividly illustrates the transformation of scholarship in the field since glasnost.
Patrick Zuk is Associate Professor of Music at Durham, and co-edits the volume with Marina Frolova-Walker FBA, Professor of Music History at Cambridge.
