Latest performances of pieces by Dr Eric Egan in Oslo, Dublin and Basel

May and June see several performances of Dr Egan's music across Europe.

On 1 May there was a recital of "Eyes so Dimmed" for solo flute at Biermandsgarden in Oslo.

The first complete performance of "Fragments | of Shapes | Hewn | in White | Silence" takes place on 5 May at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, with the Crash Ensemble.

Basel is the location for the premiere of "pick the gun up," on 22 June. The piece was commissioned by the TAL trio.

Eric Egan is Lecturer in Composition in the department. He is the producer of Ensemble 7Bridges, and E7B SoundLab, Durham University's ensembles in residence.

He also runs NAME (new art music ensemble), the Music Department's student contemporary music group and KLANG, the Department's annual contemporary music festival.
