Prof Michelle Meinhart speaks at WW1 music research network meeting

(29 April 2017)

Prof Meinhart’s presentation outlined her ongoing research on music in the English country house during the First World War.

She joined scholars from around the country engaged in various approaches to researching the history of civilian and military music between 1914-1918.

The event was held on 28 April 2017 at the University of Kent Canterbury, and was supported by Gateways to the First World War, a centre for public engagement with the First World War centenary funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Michelle Meinhart is a Fulbright postdoctoral scholar at Durham, and Assistant Professor of Music at Martin Methodist College in Tennessee.
