Durham KLANG17: John Snijders (piano) / Mark Carroll (electric cello)

9th June 2017, 19:00, Concert Room, Music Department

Durham University’s Head of Performance gives a recital of works from some of the leading composers of our time, including the concert premiere of a new piece by Laurence Crane, which he recently recorded for CD.

Fresh from performances at Cafe Oto and Tusk Festival, Mark Carroll treats us to an invigorating improvisation set on the electric cello.

KLANG is Durham’s own Contemporary Art Music Festival, run by staff and students at Durham University Music Department. Our aim is to present some of the world’s most exciting new music from composers and musicians based in the North-East and beyond.

All concerts in KLANG are free of charge and will take place in the Concert Room of the Music Department, on Palace Green.
