IMEMS/Blackfriars 6th Public Lecture: Medieval Food with Peter Brears

25th October 2014, 11:00, Blackfriars Restaurant and Banquet Hall, Newcastle, Peter Brears

IMEMS has a long-standing relationship with Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle and we are pleased to announce our 6th public lecture.

One of Britain's most celebrated 'reconstruction cooks', the legendary Peter Brears will produce a re-enactment of medieval dining and etiquette in Blackfriars Banquet Hall. Peter has written many award-winning historical food books over the years including his hefty volume 'Cooking & Dining in Medieval England' which won the prestigious Andre Simon Food Book of the Year award and also remains Blackfriars go-to reference manual.

The event will start at 11am with tea and coffee; a suitably delicious medieval 3-course lunch will follow.

Cost £25pp, including lunch. To book click here
