Health Interventions in Volcanic Eruptions (HIVE) Project

Dr Claire Horwell held the first workshop for the HIVE project at Durham in November 2015. The HIVE Consortium are building an evidence base to determine the effectiveness of the range of respiratory protection worn by communities around the world during volcanic eruptions. The study includes laboratory experiments, social surveys and a clinical trial. The workshop brought together the Consortium for the first time, to discuss the work-packages, plan the detail of the study and train the research assistants. The following people attended:
