Durham Book Festival Event - Meet the Fellows

13th October 2013, 10:30, Durham Town Hall, Market Place, Durham

Light plays a central role in the physics of the universe, in the sustenance of life, in the technology that drives our society and in our physical and emotional well-being. Durham University’s Institute of Advanced Study’s theme of Light during 2013-14 will develop links between the physics of light, the perception of light, the emotive effects of light, and the representation of light in theology, philosophy and literature. Join IAS Fellows, Dr Robert Fosbury, Professor Glenn Brock, and Professor Tom Mole as they talk about their ideas surrounding this inspiring theme.

Sunday 13 October 2013, 10.30am-11.30am, Durham Town Hall, Market Place, Durham

Tickets: £8/£6 from the Gala Theatre on 03000 266 600 or through the Gala website
