Hatfield College

Postgraduate Life

Every Durham University postgraduate student is a member of a college - a body that seeks to be a supportive and diverse community of students and staff from across the University.

Whether you 'live-in' in College, or 'live-out' in town or in your own home, there is a membership package for you to benefit from the services, facilities and opportunities on offer in College.

Each college has its own distinctive character defined by its buildings, traditions and people, and each offers a range of facilities for study, sports, socialising and relaxing. As well as the practical facilities all colleges provide, colleges seek to offer personal support and an environment that complements the academic provision of your department.
