Celebrating 30 Years of Hatfield Women

The academic year 2018-19 marks an important milestone for Hatfield College: the thirtieth anniversary of the first women to be formally admitted as Hatfield students. The first 41 female students arrived in Michaelmas Term 1988.

We are planning an exciting calendar of events and initiatives to celebrate, reflect up and mark the achievements of Hatfield women over the past three decades. Whilst the emphasis will be on celebrating women, events will be for everyone, highlighting and supporting Hatfield as an inclusive, diverse community of students, staff and alumni.

The celebrations began with a weekend of activities and a formal dinner, held in Hatfield on Saturday 20 October 2018.

The exhibition, All Male No More!, opened on 19 February 2019. The exhibition charts the history of Hatfield women, including alumni, students and staff, and draws on materials from Hatfield's archives and oral history interviews with key figures.
