Welcome from the Junior Common Room President
Hi everyone! I’m Henry and welcome to Grey! I’ve just completed my degree in Natural Sciences and I’m lucky enough to be your president this year, which means that I am employed by you, the students, to improve the college to the best of my abilities. Therefore, if you have any ideas of ways to improve the JCR please let me know! I like to think of myself as a friendly, approachable person so if you ever have any problems or just fancy a chat come and find me! Most likely to be found on the rugby pitch, at the darts board or just chilling in the JCR. I look forward to meeting you all in October!
Welcome from the JCR Freshers Rep
Hi I’m Nathan, but most people call me Guv, I’m your Senior Freshers’ Rep.
My main role is to represent you lot in all aspects of college life as you join us for your first year. That means that I will be available to answer any questions you have before you get here and once you arrive. I’ll always be happy to point you in the right direction when it comes to settling into life in Durham for the next few years of your degree.
I am also in charge of organising the social aspects of your College induction activities and am currently working hard to make it a week that you will look back on fondly as the best introduction to university life possible.
If you have ANY questions or concerns about coming to uni I’m happy to help. You’ll probably find me in our JCR watching sport, playing pool and darts or doing engineering stuff.
I look forward to seeing you all in Induction week!

What happens now?
Over the coming week you will receive your Grey College Welcome Pack. We've been hard at work assembling them with the perfect mix of fun and forms. The forms, both paper and online, and two passport photogaphs need to be returned us by the deadline of Friday 7 September 2018. You need not return the fun!
If you wish to visit Clearing or Adjustment the web address is www.dur.ac.uk/study/ug/applicants/ which has contact details and should answer your queries.
If you have recently changed your address, or have been using a school address as your permanent address, please inform UCAS and the College of your new permanent address. Likewise, if your email address changes, please ensure that you amend this on the UCAS system and inform the College. It is imperative that this information is up-to-date otherwise we will not be able to send you your pack.
Other than that, please read the information contained on this page. Please note: International students have a specific section below.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the wonderful Kellie Stephenson, Student Support Administrator: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 0191 334 5639.

All new students need to fill in this form by 7 September 2018.

You may also need to monitor your spam folders to see if the messages have arrived there.
After you have received both emails you will need to:
- Change your password
- Log into Durham University Online – duo https://duo.dur.ac.uk
- Choose the “Banner Self Service” link in duo under “External Tools”
- Choose Registration and Enrolment
- Enrol with the University
- Upload a photograph for your campus card
You will receive information from your department about registering for your programme and modules. You should follow the advice given about whether to complete registration for programmes and modules before you come to Durham, or whether to wait until you arrive before making final choices, so that your department can give you further advice and information.
