Grey College recognises the importance of a student’s health and wellbeing to his or her academic progress and wider university experience. We have a dedicated team of staff who provide general pastoral help and welfare support to students. For the more serious and long term issues, we can refer students to professional support services in the University and elsewhere.
The Junior Common Room also has its own Welfare Team, drawn from the student body. It runs campaigns on specific issues, such as Alcohol Awareness and Mental Health. It also provides a confidential listening support service, with regular ‘drop in’ sessions and a dedicated telephone line.
