Gender and Law at Durham


GLAD creates a supportive environment which nurtures and develops both academic and student involvement in the area of Law & Gender.  GLAD members particular expertise in the following areas: the legal regulation of pornography, diversity in the legal professions, feminist judgments, crime, violence and law and sexuality and equality. As well as writing academic books and articles on in these areas, GLAD members have also organised a variety of events, from informal workshops to more formal staff seminars and conferences, in which research can be disseminated and during which scholars, students, activists and practitioners can come together to share research, ideas and experiences related to these fields.
