More information:

We are committed to providing a student experience to rival any in the world. Our Collegiate system is central to this.

Our University Strategy, 2017-2027 includes goals to establish four to six new Colleges and ensure over half of our students live in College accommodation. We are also planning to invest heavily in refurbishing our existing Colleges.

We recognise that the Leazes Road site requires significant investment. We are currently considering how we can develop the site, to offer the best possible experience for students, staff and other users.

No decisions have yet been taken, and no decisions would be taken without consultation with all who would be affected by any proposals.

Any proposals would also have to be approved by our governing bodies and Durham County Council.

We will provide more information as soon as we can.
