The Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) is one of the largest and longest established research groups providing learning assessment for children of all ages.

Its relocation to Ushaw College, near Durham City, involved the conversion of bedrooms and an IT classroom into suitable work spaces including four new AV-equipped meeting rooms, two open plan workspaces for 40 staff and 40 cellular offices; plus infrastructure works.
