IHRR brings together researchers from across the natural, social and physical sciences to make a difference to how we live with emerging hazards and risks. Dr Claire Horwell is an RCUK Fellow in IHRR where she leads a Programme of Work on volcanic ash hazards.
DGC is one of the UK’s leading geochemical research facilities, with instrumentation for analysing a full suite of isotopic and elemental compositions from Earth Materials.
CeREES is the only research centre in the UK that carrying out high level multidisciplinary research across all Geo-Energy themes. CeREES scientists are currently investigating geothermal energy resources and the petroleum potential of volcanic-dominated basins in the north Atlantic.
