Living scales IAS workshop
8th February 2016, 09:00, Colin's Hall, IAS
Multi-scale self organised adaptive biological networks. ‘Living Scales’ #2
This workshop will explore image analysis approaches, useful types of graph-theoretic measurements, and how to integrate quantitative experimental network measurements into mathematical models of transport systems. The workshop is organised by Dr Obara (DCBT member) and visiting IAS Fellow Prof Fricker. The event will include talks on super-resolution imaging of subcellular networks, tissue organisation and image analysis approaches by DCBT members
14th October 2016, 09:00, Durham University Library at Palace Green
DCBT, together with Durham University Library, have put together a small exhibition to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the publication of Robert Hooke's Micrographia. The exhibition will be open at Palace Green Library for two weeks from Friday the 14th October. The display will showcase the book alongside presentations illustrating how far microscopy has developed, including some of the types of specimens originally observed by Hooke imaged with today's cutting edge techniques.
