Postgraduate Reading Group

13th January 2015, 13:00 to 14:00, Repeated weekly until 17th March 2015, Elvet Riverside, Room 203

An informal meeting-place for postgraduates with research interests in visual culture from any disciplinary perspective.

The postgraduate reading group is led by Professor Jonathan Long, togetehr with Professor Ludmilla Jordanova and Professor Janet Stewart. Other members of the Centre for Visual Arts and Culture are also very welcome to join in this informal meetings.

The meetings will take a number of forms, including reading key texts that inform the field of visual culture and discussing individual research problems. There will also be an opportunity for members of the postgraduate group to develop their own research initiative with support from the Centre for Visual Arts and Culture.

In 2013/2014, the Centre supported History postgraduate Zoe Cormack in the production of an exhibition of photographs from the University's Sudan Archive, which was shown in Palace Green Library and at the University's Oriental Museum.
